Traditional Dance Festival in Skyros

The Skyros Traditional Dance Festival, having now become an important cultural institution on the island, attracts dance groups and visitors from all over Greece and abroad every year, while this April it will be held for the 6th year.
Through music, dance and traditional costumes, the festival highlights the richness and diversity of Greek folk tradition.

During the festival, dance groups present traditional dances from different regions of the country, accompanied by live music and authentic rhythms.

The events begin in the square of Skyros Town and culminate on the last day with a party in its alleys, creating a festive atmosphere that combines culture with the summer Skyrian landscape.

The festival lasts 5 days and is not only an artistic event, but also an opportunity for cultural exchange and meeting people from different places and traditions.
At the same time, emphasis is placed on the participation of the local community, with Skyrian dances, musical groups and actions that bring to the fore the cultural identity of the island.
